Re: 2016 polo infotainment system, satnav

Sorry this forum is not very good for responding to requests and I've only logged in to seek some information. If you have the Composition Media Unit with no NAV button then you have a number of options. 1. Retrofit the Discover Media unit which requires both the head unit and the unit in the gloveb...

Re: upgrade to GPS unit R096 vw polo 6r tsi 2016model

If you have the Composition Media unit without navigation then retrofitting the Discover Media system which includes navigation is quite expensive as you have to replace both the unit in the glovebox and the head unit. A cheaper and more viable option is to get CarPlay activated on your unit (not al...

Wanted VW Polo 6R 17" Montani Alloys 6R0 601 025 AE

As per title I'm looking for single alloy or a full set of VW Polo 6R Montani Alloys Part No 6R0 601 025 AE 7jx17H2 ET 46 Stud pattern 5 x 100 Would prefer without tyres but, most importantly no buckles or welds. Ideally original so will take alloys that have minor kerbing. Based in North East so wi...

Re: swapping between the issued keyfobs

[/i] Okay, it may be off-topic by me but that Duracell incident of yours must represent the biggest load of old tosh I've come across in many a year - and do understand that that criticism is not directed at you personally but simply to the screwy concept that it entails. If the required battery ce...

Re: HELP!!!! HELP!!! Engine failure

Link is working. Thanks for the update. Do you know exactly what the first garage did to the car? This doesn't sound good on such a low mileage engine. Is it only 1.2 petrols that are affected? What about the 1.0?That said if this is a known issue on these engines what precautions should be taken? T...

Re: Anyone had a problem in getting a second Polo Owner's Manual?

Think yourself lucky you got a paper copy! My BMW F11 didn't come with any manuals as I was told everything was on the i-Drive! I resorted to ebay as it was cheaper than buying one from the dealer who wanted about £60 for a full set  Plenty on ebay and each booklet has a part no so the VW par...

Re: swapping between the issued keyfobs

I doubt the key fobs will hold any driver configurable information. Firstly I would suggest changing the battery in the keyfob that hasn't been used for a while. They are very fussy on batteries as I know from experience a brand new Duracell wouldn't work and had to get one from the VW dealer. Secon...

Re: VW RNS315 Retrofit from RCD310 - What is needed?

Thought I would update following install of the RNS315 today after waiting ages for a microphone and wiring harness. I sort of knew there was going to be an issue as the car has the TPK system installed. The following is working DAB Radio - the seller advised that it didn't have DAB but I asked him ...

Noted thanks.

Thanks

Re: Spare Key not working

When you press the remote button do you see a red light? If not then the battery needs replacing - be careful as we had a remote not working and replaced the battery with a Duracell 2032. Still wouldn't work so we asked dealership when we were in and they simply put a VW 2032 battery in which worked...

VW RNS315 Retrofit from RCD310 - What is needed?

Hi all Did a quick search but couldn't see this specific unit being covered. I have sourced a VW RNS 315 EU Sat Nav with code and GPS antenna. The Nav unit Part No. is 3C8 035 279 S. Connectors on the back from left to right are Black Fakra = DAB? Black Rectangle connector = Reversing Sensor? Blue F...
