The metal housing comes up through the hole so I should be able to get to the connector .. wondering if a new one with a plastic sleeve in place will snap into position from the top ?

Hi all
My 12v power supply is loose within the ashtray mounting. It looks like that some sort of plastic retaining sleeve has broke on the inside of the 28mm (?) hole. I've tried to improvise make it more sturdier without much luck. If I buy a £5 ish replacement can it be done from the top down or ...
