Re: Rightclick on a 6R.

update.

Checked all connections, all ok as they are soldered, same result just locks the car.
Inserted another resistor in-line and still the same.
R-Click sell the box on its own for £9.95 so I'm gonna go that route 1st and rule out that its faulty.

Will keep you all informed.

Re: Rightclick on a 6R.

I've used a 180 ohm

so far I've connected to perm live, Earths from lock/unlock and earth from main unit, resister inline in the unlock, spliced into the lock wire then all to pin 20. Like I say it locks the car fine but don't unlock!!!

Re: Rear View Camera Installation - how easy is it?

Arr I didn’t know that. Well at least you’ve got it coming. My daughter has a xtrons Chinese thing that came with the car installed by the previous owner.
It should come with instructions so you’ll be fine

Re: Rear View Camera Installation - how easy is it?

No I didn’t use that box as it’s not needed.
You get the power for the camera from the light feed to the reverse bulb. In line fuse holder is just a fuse to separately fuse the camera but is protected anyway from the cars fuse box.

Let me know if you want anymore help.

Re: Rear View Camera Installation - how easy is it?

4 hour job from start to finish. 1, remove tail lights. 2, Remove bumper (number plate lights out 1st). 3 Insert camera into one of the number plate holes and push the camera cable through the grommet into the boot area. 4, Pull away plastic trim where the boot striker is. 5, Pull away near side car...

Re: Crash damage!

It gets worse!
Opened the bonnet today to see if I can adjust the bonnet and all the paint is flaking off the inside of the bonnet.
Obviously no prep has been done. Just sprayed top coat onto the black primer. Just hope the outside of the panels last now!
Oh well chin up! 😂

Re: Crash damage!

Update! After 3 weeks we got the car back! Parts were all purchased from TPS which was a relief. Total for parts was £1450 and labour £500. BUT! Upon pickup they said they needed it back in two weeks to buff up the paint work as 3 weeks of promises of finished dates were given to me again and again ...

Re: Rear View Camera Installation - how easy is it?

Doing this to my daughters car tomorrow. Same camera too. If I’m correct (new car to me) is lights out. Rear bumper off, wire through grommet behind, connect earth and live wire to reverse bulb wiring then wire all the way up to head unit. Done the same to my transporter so shouldn’t be too bad. Can...

Re: Adam’s T5.1 GP

I use my T5 everyday of the week as it's my work van.
After 10 years I'm getting a bit bored with it and thinking of going the opposite way.
4motion T6 and lifting it slightly and going on journings up in the French/Swiss Alps!
Must be getting old lol

Re: Adam’s T5.1 GP

Wow great work! I too have a Vw but mine is a 2005 trendline with the T5.1 facelift. Hybrid turbo with bigger injectors etc.. Had it nearly 10 years now and still love it. Also the wife’s got a VW Eos and my daughter has a 1.2 polo s as her 1st car. Keep up the good work! BJ. E6AE22C2-7FED-475C-A9F3...

Crash damage!

Hi all. Newbie here. Sorry for asking which may sound rude as a 1st post before I’ve really introduced myself. I’ve got a VW Transporter and an eos and am on those forums too but bought my daughter a polo 1.2 6r for her 1st car as she only past her test a week ago. Anyway the poor soul parked it up ...
