in my GT there is 5 wires for the stereo, a red/white - permanent positive a brown - negative (earth) grey/blue - instrument panel lighting brown/red - control wire for ignition key, turning on/off and a blue/white - speed signal for volume control (That is what the Polo manual says about the wires...

Yeah I think the oil cooler goes between the filter and block mk2 golf stylee and the actual cooler I've ordered is a long thin one that mounts behind the 'mouth' in the front bumper.
