Re: ciclo. Wife's Golf MK7.5 Ready2Go 1.0 TSI 6MT 200Nm/l 115HP
Yea it’s defiantly worth it with these getting them calibrated right. I had the non heated at about £300 too so might just stick with that! I have a place near me that can fit the screens so going to get them to do that in the spring and then put the other bits in. I then have another garage that ha...

VW in the U.K. we’re looking for £600 for this one with the heated elements! I’ve got all the other bits ready to go although my camera is only on ‘j’ and i...

Re: ciclo. Wife's Golf MK7.5 Ready2Go 1.0 TSI 6MT 200Nm/l 115HP
The techniques used to control the pattern and light intensity of the emitted light beam have evolved enormously in LED headlights, I honestly don't know exactly the level of control or technique used by 8IX LED headlights (Hella), you already know that everything depends on the sensors installed t...

Re: ciclo. Wife's Golf MK7.5 Ready2Go 1.0 TSI 6MT 200Nm/l 115HP
You can also buy brand new LED repair kits (8IU) at the official VW dealer (I think about 120 euros per led-headlamp -ETKA-). I think there is a tutorial on youtube how to do the job. I saw these on ETKA but thought they were the ballast for some reason. Someone is selling one on eBay at the moment...

Re: ciclo. Wife's Golf MK7.5 Ready2Go 1.0 TSI 6MT 200Nm/l 115HP
Wow, is interesting to see the internal LED unit, is this from the matrix beam ones? I'm guessing that I could buy some smashed up mxb ones and transplant this bit if I found them then! Is good to know about the BCM swap, I got it the wrong way round I have BOSCH and need Conti, for some reason VW o...

Re: ciclo. Wife's Golf MK7.5 Ready2Go 1.0 TSI 6MT 200Nm/l 115HP
good detective work there! I thought as much that it wasn't possible, I just can't justify the difference at the moment but you will enjoy the genuine lights, they are absolutely excellent in my 8IX ones and the matrix BEAM will be even better! (especially once you have the A5 camera!) Thats my next...

Re: ciclo. Wife's Golf MK7.5 Ready2Go 1.0 TSI 6MT 200Nm/l 115HP
My understand is that AFS is adaptive frontlight system which is the 8IX ones as here. I'm guessing MXB is matrix ... ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_PWk5c18-o It would be interesting to try to flash the MXB firmware to the 8IX lights and see what happened, I must admit I would be a bit scared t...

Re: ciclo. Wife's Golf MK7.5 Ready2Go 1.0 TSI 6MT 200Nm/l 115HP
I was trying to figure this out on my Golf 7.5. Mine came from the factory with the 8IX ones and I am going through the process of installing the A5 camera (just waiting for a new windscreen) and was trying to see if I can 'upgrade' my headlights to the 8IU ones. As far as I can see on ETKA, they ha...

Re: Auto headlight retrofit. VW Transporter. T5 (2010-2015)
I’ve bought a load from this guy before. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F121332390568 If you look on ETKA it will tell you the VW part numbers for the terminal so you can view it on his or you can just figure it out if you know what you want. In ter...

Re: Auto headlight retrofit. VW Transporter. T5 (2010-2015)
Sounds exciting!
Would get yourself a copy of ELSA and ETKA to have a look through all the OEM wiring diagrams so you know what connects where to get it to factory then you can put in the mods from this thread!

Re: POLO 6R. HEATED SEATS. OEM.
Could someone with a 6c let me know the measurements of the area where the pads sit? The skoda pads are half the price of the T5 pads, I am keen to see if they would fit! EDIT: On further investigation, it looks like the T5 requires pads with a temperature sensor in so maybe not :( https://i.imgur.c...

I did the heated nozzles at the same time as the Climatronic, was only a couple more wires so very straight forward, will wait to see if they make any difference in the winter!

Same on my system, I’ve had it previously on a mk6 golf and a scirocco and my brother has it on his cc.
EDIT: I don’t have the TPMS menu option either but guessing that’s due to your direct TPMS?

Ah right, ran the cables but didn’t think to look at the pins! EDIT: realised I had one already! http://i.imgur.com/EPr0UPN.jpg 8) I note the work on your cluster, did you do a straight swap, reason I ask was I was trying to figure out if we could unlock the convenience menu now we have the BCM max ...
