Infotainment OTA software updates
I recently spent over 5 hours downloading Software update (MO13_EU_VWMQB_P3340 which is on par with watching paint dry. Despite having made the effort to connect the car to my wifi access point, the download was throttled on the VAG side of things. The download is 3675Mb in size. The first 700 ...

Re: All in Service Plan
Sorry to resurrect this question.
But I have been looking at the service plan options for my 2yr old gti, it seems the all in plan isn’t available for me on the VW website. I suspect that is because of the warranty (>Dec 26).
My dilemma is:
Do I opt for the basic service plan (£22/m) over the plus ...

Re: Brake Fluid Change - Polo gti 2023 model
My 2023 gti is having its (2nd year) service at the weekend, and they have messaged me upselling the brake fluid change (for £69), the car is on 12800 miles, and I have tested the moisture content of the brake fluid and it is within working peramiters. I have the necessary brake bleed equipment and ...

Max load on a GTi (BZ) cigarette socket
Im heading out on a summer road trip to south Europe, so im looking at running both the dashcam and a 12v coolbox from the std cigarette socket using a splitter. So my question is will the wiring and fuse cope with the power demand without causing any damage ?

Re: Mirror seal
Yeah they did!!
However I returned to the dealer this morning and they fitted the new mirror glass, and they also put fuel in the car. Then when I arrived home a courier came with a 6 bottle case of mixed wines

Re: Mirror seal
Update:
The car finally was fixed under warranty, a complete new mirror arm was fitted, reusing the old mirror back and mirror lens. However they managed to break the mirror lense while installing it in the new arm, so I will have to return tomorrow morning to let them fit the new mirror lens. So as ...

Re: Mirror seal
It’s never happened to me before, even on the previous AW car, and the other side is fine. It’s not as if it’s a cosmetic issue because it’s designed to prevent water and dirt from being pushed underneath the mirror and working its way into the folding mirror mechanism. What I’m not sure about is ...

Mirror seal
Has anyone else had an issue with the rubber seal on the mirror arm of a 2023> BZ GTi? As the seal on the offside arm where it runs under the folding mirror is torn. This seal is not cosmetic and is meant to prevent water from entering under the mirror and working its way down to the folding mirror ...

Re: 2024 Polo GTI grinding/clittering by parking the car
That’ll be the front brakes, I find it happens when I swing it over to turn around and reverse park on my good side. The same thing happened on my previous 2019 AW GTi

Re: Software update 91MG
There was absolutely no mention of it when the keys were handed back, and it was the fact that I’d actually read the service notes before leaving site that I spotted it, so I’d done a quick google search on it sat in the car before I went back in, so I suspected that the agent was winging it.
When I ...

Software update 91MG
Can anyone shed light about what is involved with the latest software update VW 91MG?

Re: Space saver spare wheel.
Although I spec’d a space saver for this car, when I go anywhere substantially far from home I throw in the back seat the spare full size wheel that I bought for the previous car. This was the case when I headed 2500 miles to south Spain and Portugal this summer. A space saver is nice to have but ...

Re: Software update 0330
This update came up on my dashboard today, it’s quite a large one iirc 3961mb so it took some time to download. Then around 20 mins to install. Then afterwards another small update came up and it downloaded in a couple of minutes
