Yes I'm well aware of the pros and cons, had two previous tuning boxes on other cars. The JB4 is one of the best and has ability to delete error codes if necessary

I have a JB4 tuning box fitted from Burger Motorsports. They say the biggest restriction is indeed the small cooler and potentially causes issues particularly in the summer here and warmer climates. It is supposed to be good for 245 hp but not much more without improving the cooling.

I have the Polo Gti+ but have previously done lot of miles in a Golf GTD and driven the GTi a number of times.

Personally, if affordable I would go for the Golf. I think the refinement is a little better and it uses slightly better quality materials in the cabin, for example the door cards.

5500 miles completed and I have similiar experiences.
Pros;
- Sharp to drive, handles really well.
- Actually sounds pretty good too with little pops from the exhaust.
- Nice interior and love the digi dash and infotainment system. Quite a grown up feel for a small car.

Makes a huge difference depending on length of trip and driving style. I have averaged 34 mpg over 5000 miles. My commute is 10 miles and I get around 30mpg but I also do longer trips on motorways which goes up to 40+

Collecting a New GTi + with 18 inch Brescia wheels.

How harsh is the ride on our potholed roads?

If too harsh dare I ask if anyone would swap new Brecias for a 17 inch wheel.
