Update: Removed massive images.
Car went back in for more work; had the offside front headlamp assembly replaced. "internal malfunction" apparently. Error has not occurred since. So hopefully. Job done.

It's not occurred since! Here's hoping it was just a random one off after the "repair".

Fault: Light Assist - Error: Headlight range control - ED 25 GTI
Hello all,
(I'm going to apologise for the size of these images, I'm not well versed with forum uploads lol)
So I have a Polo GTI 25 Edition which seems to like giving me gyp with an error every so often, "Fault: Light Assist" and "Error: Headlight range control". This also knocks out the ACC - So ...

Re: New edition 25 polo gti
Few pics from my moors jaunt at the weekend with my friend who has a '93 Polo Genesis Coupe.
A week after owning the car, theres a couple of niggles, the headlights are a bit too low for my liking and the boot/tailgate plastics aren't fitted right, theres a gap and I found a random screw.

Re: Front Right Wheel Squeak
Those pictures bring back some fond memories, I had a Seat Ibiza FR and I had some dodgy eBay job wheel hubs fitted.
The high tensile clip which was supposed to have prevented movement, failed and the hub slipped out. Both sides.
It was fine after replacing with Genuine VW parts, but it ...

Re: New edition 25 polo gti
Collected mine today, it's remarkably quieter than my non-GPF/OPF 18 Plate GTI. Going to kinda miss the subtle pops it made.
Although I'm hoping with time and some wearing in that changes. It seems to have a good bit more umph than previous though. Seems a bit "stiffer" and handles a lot better ...

Re: New edition 25 polo gti
After speaking with the dealer (Pulman Durham), they said it should be arriving in the next couple of days.
Due to what I want fitting, the Tracker etc, there aren't too many people qualified to install it and the ones who can are on holiday, I don't blame them, tbh!
So I'll probably get it at the ...

Re: New edition 25 polo gti
"£300something" from what I can remember from the conversation I had with the dealers in May.
My current cam (Kenwood) was transferred from my GTI 6C to my GTI AW for no charge, so no idea what they will slap on top of this one.

Re: New edition 25 polo gti
I'm getting the dealers to put my new private reg on it, so probably asap. 24 reg disguised as a 21 reg
Requesting them to add front/rear dash cams and a tracker too. I don't want this car going missing

Re: New edition 25 polo gti
Just had an update from the Sales chap, the Ed 25 is currently in Port of Tyne, waiting on update for when it arrives at the Dealership. Happy happy.TurboTrev wrote: Tue Jul 30, 2024 3:31 pm If the Edition 25s weren't on the Weser Highway, then they might be on the Neptune Hellas due into the Port of Tyne from Emden tomorrow (31/7).

Any update from your end Trev? Apparently mines currently in Emden. I'm sitting watching the ships on 'VesselFinder' daily, no joy yet.TurboTrev wrote: Thu Jun 27, 2024 9:55 am I think 6-8 weeks is usually about right from my experience in 2019 (it took 6 weeks then).

Re: New edition 25 polo gti
Hello, sorry to chip in, if one has a confirmation from Dealer stating the car is finished at the factory VIN assigned, how long roughly would it take for the car to arrive on UK soil? (from a lovely trip from ZA)
Ran my searches, and got something like 6-8 weeks. Can anyone confirm? :)
