Is the dash of my 1996 polo 6N the same as a Seat Ibiza/Cordoba of the same vintage?
The reason i ask is I want one of those brodit mounts but they don't list them for my car. They do however do them for Seat's.
Any help much obliged.
Stuart.

Thermostat
It looks like my thermostat has failed, luckily in the open position.
Is it easy to change? Whats the easiest way to drain the coolant? When replacing, does it need a new gasket?
So many questions, but too tight to buy a workshop manual.
Thanks in anticipation.

I've also fitted central locking (mine is remote though, not that that matters). I fitted the actuators directly below the locks (if that makes sense) You have to be very creative and bend the rod supplied with the kit into a shape that will clear round the white plastic body of the lock mechanism ...

I'm fitting a remote central locking kit. Obviously this needs a permanent 12v live (rather than ignition switched).
I'd thought about using either the radio or fag lighter for the feed but would prefer something more substantial. I just wondered if there is a way of tapping into the permanent live ...

wiring diagram + fusebox + 12v live
I know its been asked before (i did a search) but does anybody have a wiring diagram for a 6N?
Failing that, does anybody know how to remove the fuse/relay box inside the cubby under the steering wheel? I can see a grey clip that releases on the left and there seems to be one on the right but its ...

1st question has to be, is there one? rather than a timing chain.

My car is circa early 96 with a 1.4 8v

1.4 CL central locking + electric windows
For some unknown reason my 96N reg polo 1.4 CL doesn't have central locking or electric windows. Every other one I've seen has both. The log book says its definitely a CL. Any ideas why?
I'd like to fit both and have seen a remote central locking kit on ebay for £28 + p+p. Does anyone have ...
