look at the front grille on a Polo GTI set against the location of the condensor...

particularly where the supposed damage is on my car, its not feasible for a stone. The GTI badge would be snapped in half.

never knew stones did damage to cars so thanks for the clarification.

@shiggy, you can't always relate condenser damage to distance travelled in so may many miles, if it is that it could just be down to bad luck on your part, a few yards/metres could be enough while 4K miles/kilometres or much more might end up with no condenser damage.

this has been my EXACT issue - my car is in with the dealer to be rectified and i have been told stone damage has penetrated the condensor!!!

car was serviced late decemeber and was driven less than 100miles since say april when the issue presented itself. its now a warranty item and they want £680 ...

the GTI grille is very close and alot of plastic. there is no damage to the front end.

the 'supposed' area of damage looks very difficult for a stone to hit. i have asked for more details but seems a complete odd one.

i have a 18month old Polo GTI Plus.

to date the ownership experience has been particularly poor. Its back to the dealer for the fifth time to look at rattles and issues.

however this time the dealer has called to say the a/c condensor has magically split and now needs replaced. not a warranty ...

same here....

mine has been in to have this rectified and it got identified as the LED module (dashboard) which in the end was fully replaced.

then issue started again around a day later...

i end up just turning the music up...

correct. checked everywhere and cant see a way to add time/clock...

have a GTI Plus..pretty much stock.

after around 500miles, there was a distinct rattle in the middle of the dash. sent to dealer and said it couldnt be resolved with 'rattle' stickers (yes dealers have a VW sticker kit to reduce rattle noise i am told), so the infotainment screen was replaced ...

REMAPS - stage 1.. nothing overly crazy

think i'd best wait for some second hand ones..

i collect my new GTI + this weekend.

it doesnt have Brescia alloys (was in a rush so bought what was available) but these are a must in my opinion.

does anyone know of where these can be sourced as the dealer cant see them on their inventory ?

also, has anyone seen any news or tuners working on a ...
