The whirring noise usually heard after the key is turned in the ignition, is the starter motor cog that has stayed onto the flywheelfor too long. just replace the starter motor and the fault should be cured.

Are both the vehicles with this leak in the passenger footwell, 16valves with air conditioning?????????

if so, check that the condensation pipe for the a/c is going through to the engine bay properly, as it is only a short pipe, sometimes it gets wedged in the fire wall, and the condensation/water ...

hey ya

if u were to jack your car up, then undo the top bolt on the shocks, the suspension will drop out a few inches, allowing u to drill your holes, without causing any damage to the suspension, the when your done just do up the nut again, job done.

strut braces look well good too

I agree yeah, clean up ya throttle body 1st. it is possible to reset the basic settings on the throttle body, just ask a vw garage to do that, as a second step. failing that u might be looking at a more indepth problem.
good luck

Dont really understand what u want to do?

but the black circular part in the key that your talking about is the transmitter for the immobiliser, so by scrapping this part of tampering with it, u wont be able to start your car. All keys with this black part in them have to be codded to the specific ...

wouldn't even think of getting one, you'l be idling at about 1500-1750 rpm, the engine will be really lumpy at idle, n your fuel will just be drunk by your engine. best bet is to stay clear of them.
