Ok this is what i have got so far.
You have to use a golf mk3 motor and drill the mounting holes out to 6.5 mm, use the mk3 wiring and as you say use the open air switch.
I have a open air switch and a motor if you want a pic of it, just got to get a mk 3 golf motor and work out the rest from there.

i get so bored at work sometimes !!

Oh yer i've heard this before, when i first asked someone about this electric sunroof they thought i was mad then i told them about my plan to fit abs and esp to my 6n oh and did i mention my turbo + nitrous enquiries?

Anyone tried this? I have a standard 16v sunroof with a handle i hate it!! So the plan is to fit an electric motor to it with a w8 light, I've been told that a mk3 golf motor is the way to go i've got all the wiring relays etc from a 1996 polo open air and an open air motor but i think the motor is ...

BTW Anyone know if the w8 light does this?

I have a similar prob on mine (standard springs) polo 2k mentioned in the forum somewhere about the rubbers on the tie rods being shot sorry i can't be any more helpfull than that!!

Does the steering wheel make a scraping kind of noise? if it does try and squirt a bit of wd-40 in there (where the two moving parts meet) that'l sort that.Is your other rattle just that or does it bang when you go over a bump?

Are they rare? mine's a 5 door

My polo is flash red and i just bought a vw touch pen and it came with clear coat so that means flash red does have clear coat on it.
Btw i use autoglym everything give it a wash,polish really brings up the color if it's good enough for royalty it's good enough for me!!

The paint code is on the sticker in the boot (where the warning triangle goes there should be 2 rubber straps)
Maybe you could fit 16v springs to lower the car?

But it's still coverded by the used warranty right?
