Re: GTi- only leave vehicle in position P

I get this message when I open the drivers door after been sat in the car parked up listening too the radio. I don’t get it any other time. I just ignore it. I've had it twice after sitting in the car way after parking up an switching the ignition off. I've also had this after sitting in the car fo...

Looking forward to those photos!
I've had 4d plates for a few months now. They look really good on the car.

Re: Finally picked up my GTI plus

I remember with mine ,they did cars in batches. So they'd do a big run of exact spec cars before changing to another spec. Do you have any other extras such as Brescia wheels or sunroof ? They definitely take more time, as we've seen it before. Almost like VW are waiting for a few more orders with t...

Re: Finally picked up my GTI plus

Nice spec ! I purchased mine from the same dealership as yourself, but had a 10 month wait. Good to see VW sorting out the lead times a little bit. Are you local to this dealership ? I'll give you a wave if I see a white 20 plate driving around :) Plenty of people on here with various polo models, s...

Definitely something I'd like to do. Where did you get these and are they an easy install?

Thanks

Re: Polo GTI colours

Reef blue is my fav.
I've got the black roof and mirror caps, which I think is a really nice contrast.

I also have 4D plates. Indeed they are aweful to clean, but they do look good!
My brother has 3D. They still look fairly good but much easier to clean. As easy as normal plates in my opinion.

Re: Installing foglights?

Mine already has fogs, but I'm guessing your fog light housing doesn't have any cables going to it ?

Only thing I can think of for needing a cable set.

Re: What did you and your Polo do today?

Awesome! I do love acc. On another note, have you looked into comma ai? I want to retrofit lane keep assist like you have, but just the wiring harness and coding. Then get the comma to connect to the harness for full autonomous driving. If you wouldn't mind, could you share some articles that you fo...

Re: Car servicing in lockdown

I also use Inchcape Bolton. Bit of a trek, but I trust their work. I'm nearly 3 weeks overdue my first service, and booked in early June. Not a key worker, and work from home, so just taking it easy with the car. Just taking it out to the shops for click and collect each week. Keeps the battery topp...

Re: Squeaky noise and reversing noise

I'm 6k miles in and the mooing has almost stopped.

For me it only happened if I pressed the brakes in reverse. Ended up adjusting my driving style to avoid riding the brakes when doing reverse manoeuvres
