Re: What is behind this area in console?

well there is not a lot of room right behind the back plane.. 20mm?

however i managed to fish my cables through for my little monitor.. i had a screen in the rear view mirror but the brightness was not very good in midday sun.

What is behind this area in console?

Hi everyone

I want to run a cable through from inside this area. I don't know what is directly behind the areas in red if I drilled a very small hole. There are no gaps in this unit I can that I can see that might already be usable. If i can get a suitable place to drill I can fish a cable through ...

Re: Force an OPF regen

My Polo GTI 2020 is on 27K and not had single regen that i'm aware of. I'm starting to wonder if they forgot to put one on

Same here.. Apart from a fault with the car once and engine revving at 1400 at idle for a few day and fixed 'apparently' with a forced regen by the VW garage without ...

I'm depressed now.. seeing this clean car...! LOL

I'm having the same Welsh weather here in Birmingham. Just joking.. very nice model.

back to topic.. yes it is quieter.. I pop by occasionally but often things get busy and distracting and months can go by.

Re: Battery on my 2023 Polo R line seems to loose voltage very quickly

agree with everyone.. you either have faulty battery of a parasitic draw..

I don't know what battery is fitted to your model but I fitted a larger battery to my polo 1.0 myself.. it is true it does need coding but I have an OBD Eleven kit and did it myself.. entering the proper AMPs etc (you can't ...

Re: I’m no longer a VW owner! 😮

I think I'd do the same too..

I never had the mist problem i have with my current Polo with any of the Renaults..

It still bugs me.. as others have said. don't have water ingress... leave windows slightly ajar in the sun (when it does shine) just to keep aerated. i get misting as soon as the ...

Re: I’m no longer a VW owner! 😮

irony...

I came to VW Polos after grief with Renaults (I had 4 consecutive Clio's) after two years 'normal driving' they rattled like blazes and had suspension knocks. I have had 2 consecutives VW Polos since in a longer stretch (19years) than the 4 Clio's over 8years  and no real problems ...

Re: Gpf filters

Hi...

My post on supposed GPF needing regeneration from my (un biased) VW garage is a paradox. They claimed regeneration was not under warranty yet they said they did it to fix a consistent 1400 idle speed of the engine.. the fuel consumption was normal all through the 3 weeks of it doing this high ...

Re: Changed battery, now alternator won't charge...

seems like you did it all ok

I fitted a larger battery to but kept the electronics live whilst removing the old battery with a simple gadget in the OBD socket. Perhaps you did too?

Re: High Idle/ Rough engine

I had a poor experience in the past.. (idling at 1400 regardless of temp and no discernible high fuel consumption or roughness ) Took it in for investigation and was warned if it was not a warranty issue I would be charged £150 per hour. (my OBD Eleven data reported no such high particulates)

They ...

Re: Interior Detailing

I took a quick look at that as never heard of it previously.. it's not cheap is it!

80ml does 1 sq/m small bottle will do 1 1/2 and they recommend doing it every 6 months. Think I'll just be careful

.. each to his own of course

Re: Oil change schedule

it depends .. as usual.

My Polo was shipped with long service interval (according to the plate by drivers door (can't think offhand what the codes is and working presently)

VW in UK, (in their wisdom?) decided to change it to yearly/10,000 miles.

I use an indy now and they read the plate and ...
