OK, so I've put it all back together, set the engine away, and now I've got an engine management light on.

I did keep the air filter box off when I first started it, so I could get a good view of the new parts to make sure they aren't leaking, but I've put all that back in now, and the air flow ...

After removing the damaged pipes from the coolant system yesterday, I topped it up this morning and watched it run for a bit to see if I could see anything coming out anywhere else. I couldn't.

I don't suppose you can see from that whether the pipes will come with new seals, or whether I'd have to order new ones, and what the separate part numbers would be can you?

Yeah I'm fully expecting it to be a pain in the arse to get the new ones back on. They're not exactly in an accessible place, but hey ho. Just have to deal with a cold car for a few days.

So I've been kindly given the part number for the part I need to replace in the cooling system of my car, however, my local dealership wants over £100 for the part, and they won't be able to get it in until early next week ...

Do you mind if I ask where you got that price from? My nearest dealership are wanting over £100 just for the metal pipe without the hoses.

I've glued the snapped bracket back together to give a better idea of what they should look like on a schematic, and also included a photo of the bracket with what I thought should be parts numbers on it, but VW can't seem to find anything with.

They're the pipes which connect to the heater matrix port in the firewall at the back of the engine bay.

Polo 9n3 BNV engine 2006 (I believe).
