Re: Front Assist: No sensor view: Update: Fixed

So the car went in again, two days after initial inspection. Turns out that the service receptionist person who gave me the car keys after the first attempt to fix it gave me the wrong explanation. She said "recalibrated the sensor" but should have said "reset". Anyhow, when atte...

Re: Front Assist: No sensor view: Update

The Polo went in to have this fixed yesterday. Service personnel said that fault history was downloaded and cleared, and sensor re-calibrated. Have driven car twice this morning. Fault has re-appeared, intermittently, all morning. Fault light is on more times than it is off, so whatever the fault is...

Re: Front Assist: No sensor view

Thanks for that, helpful on the warranty.
I didn't realise that they have a 3-year warranty, thought it would be one year only.
It was a demonstrator, hence second hand I suppose, which may affect it.

Front Assist: No sensor view

Car is a 2018 Polo GTi+ pre-pdf and is out of warranty. 13k on the clock. So I have this warning notification. Front Assist: No sensor view. The warning has been intermittently displayed for couple of months, and now is permanent every time I start up. I see a number of VAG forums mention this issue...

Re: GTI and GTI plus owners experiences

Second post. My first is about the handbrake and auto stop/start function, in the Handbrake topic. So I've had the Polo GTi+ for a week or ss. It was a demo, we got it with 1900miles on the clock. Not a lot of extras, just the heated seats in the Alt velour. (The heated seats are a must for both of ...

Re: Handbrake

You are right, it is Hill Hold. It's a green light. The red light comes on if I manually activate the electric (electro-hydraulic) handbrake. But the Superb's system is comparitively sophisticated, and much easier to manage, than the Polo's manual system, which does not integrate with the automatic ...

Re: Handbrake

So for my first post, I thought I would contribute on the handbrake issue. I'm fortunate enough to own a Superb 2.0TSi 280 L&K, which has the same DSG gearbox as my Polo GTI+, but crucially has an electronic handbrake which works like a charm when matched to the auto-stop engine function. Stop a...
