Try finding some brown wires, usually go to a good ground. Or you could use of the the seat mounting bolts? Might be some at the bottom of the b pillar too?

Re: Yet another remote central locking topic!
Hi All,
Still looking to get around to this but I've done a bit of reading in the meantime. There's a lot of guides that involve coding but after a bit of reading, my understanding is that I wouldn't have to do any coding at all (with apologies to the post above looking for help!) if I follow ...

Re: Yet another remote central locking topic!
Can anyone help me please? Been trying to get remote locking working on my car today. I have a vag-com and when I go into comfort control module it shows up as 6Q0959433E - the exact same part number that is supposed to work with remote locking according to this guide.

Re: Lock and unlock on a single press.
Use VCDS. Go to the comfort system, coding and minus 1 from the coding you have. Pretty simple. Idk about OBDEleven.

Re: Yet another remote central locking topic!
Sorry for the very late reply but all keys have transponders in them to disable the immobilizer when you start the car. Even the manual key with the light you mentioned. I took it out of my manual key with a light. If you open it up, on the opposite side of the light bulb there's a small glass tube ...

Re: Where do I connect
I think it'll be a separate loom that plugs into the back of the stock head unit

Re: Yet another remote central locking topic!
Hi,
I've added remote central locking to mine. Was a bit of a pain to replace the CCM but the outcome was worth it. You need a spare key or you need to get another immobilizer chip coded to your car. I was lucky enough to have a spare.

Rear Window Heater Switch
Is it possible to grab a spare switch and use it as a remote switch for a sub? It doesn't seem to me that the switch is a toggle switch, unless I'm checking the wrong pins, but none of them connect and disconnect when the switch is toggled.

Re: Headlights connection for aftermarket stereo dimming
You could try to get it off the Rear De-mister switch? I think that lights up when you turn the lights on. Although I'm not sure if you could use that, someone else will have to verify.

What is the pipe that goes into the bulkhead just behind the ABS Pump?
I'm installing a sub into my 1.2 9n3 and was wondering what the pipe is that goes into the bulkhead that's located behind the ABS pump. Looks like a black plastic pipe going through a rubber grommet.
