I have a 2014 1.6tdi 105bhp. Its using a bit of coolant and sometimes theres alot of smoke coming from the exhaust. Do these engines suffer from head gasket problems or is the egr cooler more likely. What tests can I do to decide which one is faulty ?

I have fault code 00458 and start stop malfunction. Is it likely to be the negative battery cable with the box on the side ? There seems to be a few on ebay.

New ht leads would be my guess

They all remap to the same 140bhp. We have just had ours done and wow what a difference. Just so much nicer to drive. Before you couldn't feel the tube at all now once you get to 1800 revs it takes off. We had a Quantum remap.

Unfortunately today my 6r 1.6tdi 2010 failed its mot on emissions and it looks like the dpf has been removed. No lights on dash and no fault codes. Can these cars pass the mot emissions without a dpf ? I dont know whether to get a second hand dpf and fit that and get it revamped back in or just a re...

I'm going to sell one of our polos. It's a 1.2tsi Sel, 2010, 59k miles, fsh, heated seats etc. Great condition. I'm struggling to find out what it's worth as 1.2tsi seems rare on a 2010. Some 1.2 non turbos are only £3,500 but we buy any car has offered me £5,000 so I guess it's worth more than that...
