Re: Creaking from Dashboard?
So the creaking started to REALLY annoy me! I took off the dashboard cover off. It's definitely more noticeable when the weather/cabin is warm. When the dashboard is creaking, if I press my finger down on the area circled in red, it stops. I took a look in under and there appears to be a screw/bolt ...

Re: Force an OPF regen
Thanks for the advice re using the engine braking SRGTD, I will try that in future. I would just love for a way to know when my car is coming up to needing a regen and if I could initiate it myself as it always seems to happen at awkward times for me and I absolutely hate driving it while it's ...

Force an OPF regen
Hey
Is there any way to force an OPF/GPF regen using ODB11?
I don't understand how it decides to do a regen. Last weekend I did 2, 2hr drives taking in motorway for about an hr and fast N roads the other times, so the engine was well up to temperature and would have been a perfect time to do a ...

Re: Creaking from Dashboard?
Anybody ever find a solution to this? I'm getting this creak now and it's driving me insane. If I press down firmly on the top of the dash, just to the right of the air vent it stops the noise. Just wondering how I could solve it (as it's not practical to be pressing on the dash permanently as I ...

Re: My 4YO/23K GTI+ no GPF Regen yet?
It will also be noticeable as there is an increase in the fake engine sound coming through the speakers (it sounds very droney and annoying) and the car will feel lumpy at slow speeds. I just had my longest regen the other day. I did a 2hr drive and it was regenning the entire journey (which was ...

Re: Turn off Service Notification
I think it’s different on a GTI as I don’t have those buttons on the digital display.
Try this video, which is for resetting the service reminder in an Arteon, but the digital instrument display is the same as the one in the AW (pre-facelift) Polo GTI+, and the comments below the video state ...

Hey
Is anybody running 225/40/18s on their GTI? Any issue with tyres rubbing on full lock?

Re: Genuine Wireless Charger RetroFitted
Android Auto Wireless is available too https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/aawireless#/ (or will be should I say)
Thanks for sharing this Scotty. I think I'm going to order the parts myself and the above AAWireless. Is the charging pad just plug and play or did you need to wire into the fuseboard?

Re: Economy mode
Yeh from what I can make out, it's still in ECO mode albeit just without the coasting/freewheeling feature active. Tbh I find it much smoother without that feature activated, surprised you find the opposite.

Re: Economy mode
It stays in ECO mode but the coasting feature (where the engine idles when you lift off the throttle) only works if you select ECO mode after you start the engine. If ECO mode is selected when you start the car, the coasting feature isn't enabled.

Re: Economy mode
This is by design and I guess a safety feature as the coasting feature of ECO mode could surprise someone who is not expecting it. It also wouldn't be a great mode to use in snow as it disengages drive to the wheels so I guess that's why you have to actively select it each time you turn on the car ...
