No issue here with a Pixel 2 on USB C - I did have plenty of issues with fake cables in the past. Right now I'm using an Anker. Some USB C cables don't follow spec, if it's not an official cable then try getting a reputable one.

My mate had a cactus and used to rave on about it. The only thing I ever liked about it was how the gear stick looked! I agree, not a scratch on the polos. The infotainment system was slow as s**t in the cactus too.

Their site has been broken since April for me mate, try contacting your dealership. Just make sure they don't send you the bog standard polo-nf brochure and actually send you the manual.

Got a 2018 Polo SE - haven't had a chance to test this but thought I'd ask..

Does hill assist come standard ? In my manual it sounds like it does but I've also read something about a green indicator on the dash when it's active, which I haven't seen.

Also manouvre braking - how do I know ...

I've got the same thing - most noticeable when I use Google Maps on Android Auto! Let us know what the dealer says.
