just had my gearbox done my box was cracked and badly worn where the output shaft bearing sits only had reverse and 4 gear left used a box from 1400 polo and replaced the gears with second hand ones cost around £300 to do not as quick top end but its on the road

my insurance is £420 fully comp with £2000 car audio cover and mods de-claired im 27 yrs old 2 yrs ncb and 6 points oh and a £100 excess didnt think that was 2 bad

just had my gear box totally re-coned and when asking about oil the gearbox place advised very strongly to use multigrade engine oil as syntho oils and gear box oils are to thin for these boxes mine sounds so smooth its unreal

im a five door in red as well but have a f****d gearbox at the moment

the 106xsi came with a 1.4 multi point engine witha cat they run at about 93bhp without 100bhp the later date 106xsi came with 1.6 engine nearly the same as the 106 gti the rally was a 1.3. my girlfriend had the 1.4xsi which was de-cated, performance chip and many other extras this will eat my polo ...

new master cylinder

new front top suspension mounts
tracking done twice due to legs being split and not tracked afterwards
new ht leads
2 sets ...

mine looks the best so far 27 years old 3 points 2 accidents missus added only 21 with 3 points alloy wheels added bmc air filter added £230 fully comp £100 exess with hsbc insurance good job my missus works for the bank lol
