I'm a bit torn on this. End of an era, but at least my 2024 GTI will retain value a little better for when I decide to sell it in the future.

Propably very similar to the pre-facelift, 250-260 HP and 400 Nm. I'd say that's right on the spot for FWD and this weight. Maybe a little too much even.

Bosch MG1CS031 has been cracked. Facelift GTI is now tunable.

I'm not going to do that, I have very little confidence in such tuning chips/boxes. In best case scenario I'd have little more bhp that would be limited by DSG anyway. I'll wait until I can tune both engine and DSG.

I asked reputable tuners in my area about tuning the engine and DSG. Sadly it's still not possible at the moment.

I've just got this issue. It's paired with two other issues:
1. sign recognition system fault
2. it stopped synchronizing car data with volkswagen app.
I spoke to my dealer, they said there are some models which are under recalls for SOS system issues, but not the Polo. Scheduled a visit in 2 weeks ...

My 2019 Polo had a rattling handbrake button. That was fixed on warranty. Dashboard did rattle a little bit from start, but only in the cold. I guess a little expansion of plastics in higher temps was enough to make a tighter fit, so that it wouldn't rattle. I learnt to live with that.

Hothatch or not, it's basically the last small car with "normal" - not downsized, not electric engine. There will always be buyers for that. Price bump in my market was marginal. I paid £27k for mine, it'd be £300 more today.

I'm looking for a dashcam that would be the easiest to install (I really don't like the idea of routing cable to the fuse box, prying pillar covers, being extra careful because of airbags location etc.) and I came across Fitcamx. That's a good looking alloy and bolt shape info is very valuable as I'm looking for aftermarket alloys right now. Thank you. I just wish you had you car in a darker colour, would love to see that alloy against smoky grey.

My GTI has finally arrived! Collection is scheduled for Tuesday, so 4,5 months from order. That's a lot faster than 5 years ago. Just in time to catch last bits of nice weather here, before inevitably having to switch to winter tires.

It doesn't have progressive steering.

At least 2 ships have departed from Port Elizabeth and arrived in Emden since my GTI was produced, but my salesperson is very reluctant to give me any specific info, besides "there's a good chance for collection this month".
