Picked her up this morning
Chuffed to bits, forgot how quick this car is and seems much more responsive than my previous GTI with a 6 speed box. Not sure if the exhaust system has been tweaked but much more raspy than the pre-facelift I had, maybe just I don't remember?

Re: Any one ordered the new facelift GTI?
Just ordered mine from stock Will be my 4th Polo GTI (2 x 6C, 1AW), got frustrated with my AW as it was one of the first to be delivered in the country and was povo spec so ended up swapping it for a T CROSS R line which standard had a boat load more features, in 2021, regretted it ever since so mad...

Re: 2019 GTI OPF
£200 for a resonator delete? Wow, I paid 80 and that was a high street garage, done it on my last 3 polos and has no issues with warranty, it'd only void your exhaust warranty (confirmed by VW).

Re: GTI and GTI plus owners experiences
Re the front assist, there is an option in the settings to turn the sensitivity down, mine is set on medium and instead of coming on 3/4 times a journey it's activated 3/4 times in 6 months.

Jump underneath you can't miss it, its the big round box before the centre resonator just after the downpipe.

Re: Launch control
It says launch program active, to do it you need to: Come to a stop Hold the esp button until the traction control is in sport Hold your foot firmly on the brake, put your foot on the accelerator (you can vary the revs for the launch, you don't have to use the full 3500 rpm) You'll get a launch prog...

Re: Epic fail......
The mechatronic unit on my DSG went poop this afternoon, was down shifting round a corner into second and the car was in gear but was just revving with no drive, luckily it was as I was turning into my street, it's being recovered tomorrow. Hoping it's nothing too major but we'll see when they colle...

Re: Automatic boot
Hold the boot release on the key and it opens the boot does it not? The only issue being the struts aren't strong enough for it to open, there were after market ones for the 6c polo

I've also had this from day one, the arch linings are quite flexible though so I'm not worried

Re: Gti paddle shifters
It isn't possible to set off in second, the threshold for the downshift from second to first at low speeds is higher on this box than on the old 7 speed. In this one kick down at somewhere like 15mph will sometimes trigger a downshift to first, which is obviously useless. Personally I drive in full ...

Re: Sport Gauge Meters - POLO GTI
You can switch between psi and bar in the menus.
I usually have mine set at oil temp, power (why no option for BHP?!) and turbo pressure. I hate how sometimes when you come out of the menu it resets all of the dials though

Re: Anyone had forced GPF regens yet?
I've not checked the manual so I don't know if the GPF needs a regen or not but 3000 miles in I haven't had a single one yet.

To add to the above they also need to be made from a reflective material.
