Re: Changing into reverse take 3 second (manual)?
This is not the first time I’ve heard of the 1.0 tsi having gearbox issues. I’ve heard about 5/6 people on the Facebook groups having their gearbox replaced under warranty and mileages from as little as 10k up to 40k also 1 seat Ibiza owners with the same 1.0 tsi with manual transmission. Not sure ...

Re: Intake valve cleaning
Yeah I've seen that video, I'll definitely put some fuel additive today, datacol or luqi molly to clean tips of injectors. And I think at 100 000 km there would be a lot of carbon build up on injectors and valves. I'll try to clean it myself, take intake manifold down, and use cleaner. I don't beliv...

Re: Changing into reverse take 3 second (manual)?
I've noticed that on my SEL, and its normal. I didn't stop completely, or my RPMS are a bit high, and it grinds. Now I let car for 1,2 seconds and put it in revers, and its just fine.

Intake valve cleaning
Hi, just wondering if any of you guys driving 1.0 tsi with higher milage, did you have any sort of problems with dirty valves? Since it is direct injection I'm wondering now at 30 000 km's how dirty my valves are, and thinking about some cleaner to spray it, since nothing else would work! I asked in...

Re: 85kw oil consupmtion
okay, first when I asked what is the service plan for this car, they said : First oil change in 2 years or 30 000 km whichever comes first. So I couldn't chose my service plans. I'll stick to that service plan because its free for me. I will not pay for any service. And yeah so in 10 k I lost less t...

85kw oil consupmtion
I'm on 2 yrs service plan or 30 000 km. I know I should have changed my oil at 15k. Now is 20k on dash, but I have free servicing for 105.000 km or 5 years. So I save 200 eur for not servicing it at 15k. But I've checked oil in January, and it was low on stick, I topped up 700 ml, now in April I che...

Re: Leaking rear window?
It is leaking water, since day 1. We tested it today, and under pressure it is leaking a lot, i was stunned to see how much water is getting inside. It seems its on top of the rear window, or from the catadiopter. However I made appointment and now I just hope they fix it properly, if not I'll be ma...

Leaking rear window?
I've notice last winter few drops sliding on rear window, and I tought its from outside. Tried to clean it, and it was from inside. During summer I didn't notice any stains on window, but now I notice it again. Now I've seen that some guys mention that if you use pressure washer when washing a car, ...

Re: Self Study Program 571 – The Polo 2018 (AW)
so that means about 40-50k km's I should clean my valves? I can't find anywhere on web if vw did something about carbon deposit in this new 1.0 engines. Doubtful they did anything. VW removed port injection from the Golf GTI engine without a second thought. People are seeing carbon deposits in thos...

Re: Puddle under car
well if you drive a car and then switch off aircon and park, there will be water under the car, but if it's off and there is still puddle under a car then somethings wrong. Maybe stupid to say, but could be if you live in UK that water is on top of the plastic that covers engine underneath the car? ...

Re: Self Study Program 571 – The Polo 2018 (AW)
Yeah I'm no mechanic (fix PCs for a living :P) but found this interesting becuase it seems Audi (also VAG) use this engine in its natrual tune of 132kw/320nm in the new Q3 40 TFSI. On page 20 of the PDF however it says "Combustion process based on Miller cycle"... and after some Googling ...
