It looks like a solid chunk of metal.
Have you figured a spot to mount it? Looks fairly long.

Re: EA211 Oil Catch can
You'd do the same if it was mass produced in China.

@Le_Combattant have you found a suitable catch can yet? Curious to see which way you go.

Re: EA211 Oil Catch can
I was recommending CRC GDI cleaner as a maintenance product to prevent/reduce build up. It seemed to make a massive difference on its own, but I think after a good clean like this it will help to keep it clean. Within 1000km after using I could feel the clogging up again. I think once the carbon is ...

Re: EA211 Oil Catch can
That looks brand new. :D That's the same feeling I had after running CRC GDI Cleaner through it and driving for a few days. I would recommend running that stuff through intake at every service even with catch can. I might help clean those valves clean. As for ECS intake, no not looking for power upg...

Re: 6R 1.2tsi Turbo Problem (2014)
Is that the 8-valve (EA111) or 16-valve (EA211) engine?
No error codes showing up?
Could be turbo actuator, but I think ECU would be complaining about that.

Re: Oil in intake/intercooler EA111 CAXA 1.4 TSI
https://uk-polos.net/viewtopic.php?t=79148 OIl is "normal", but that's a lot. My charge pipe also looks like that. It will leave a pool of oil on the floor if I leave it for just a minute. My coolant also goes down in the EA211, but takes a while and I have no obvious leak. Could just be c...

Yes, it will have plenty of oil. That's from the PCV system.
See the thread on E211 catch can.

Re: How to remove line from throttle body
If you do have some straight circlip pliers you can try and bend the tips in to look like the middle on in that picture.

Re: How to remove line from throttle body
Push the fitting slightly in towards the throttle (relieves some tension on the fitting) and then try and depress those tabs on the side. I think it should be similar to the fuel filter fitting; just much more inaccessible. Pliers like this will help: https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71GJfZZuZ-L....

Re: Rear axel set up looks strange.
Could probably get that sorted out with some heat and hammer, but I wouldn't risk a misaligned caliper or stressed metal.

Re: Rear axel set up looks strange.
Is it just me, or does the caliper mounting tabs on the axle, under that centering plate, look bent? See the first photo.
