I got a message this morning to say that my vehicle has moved to stage 5c, and is now on its way to the UK.

Hopefully I’ll receive it next week, before my current MOT is due!

I wonder if ours is stuck in the same log jam?

Will be asking the dealer tomorrow if he has a clear idea of delivery date.

Xmas is coming and the outgoing car will go on the 19th.

My only hope is that dealers have a slight incentive to register cars before the end of December.

So my polo has been stuck at Emden for the past 2 weeks, waiting to be allocated to a ship :cry: :cry:

I’ve spoken to my dealer and they said they have no clue as to why it is taking so long, and that is should have been in the UK by now.

I received 5a status on the 10th October for my R-Line Polo, then didn’t get my 5b until 17th November

My car is still sat waiting at the Docks in Emden, I’ve spoken to my dealer and they said they have no idea why it’s taking so long, and I should have had my car weeks ago

No App update. No call from dealer.

So I call dealer this afternoon, but My Man is busy. He’ll call back says receptionist. He doesn’t.

So I leave my question with the receptionist - “ Was our car built in Week 43 as planned ?”

Hey Presto - within 2 hours I get a system eMail and an App update ...

I ordered my R-Line Polo the first week of May, and I have only just found out from my dealer an unconfirmed build date of end September. Though it's still unconfirmed so could change, but would bring my delivery date to end of November.

That's nearly a 7 month wait.

I ordered my GTI + 13/05/19. received stage 2 ( with factory ) notification 03/06/19. today (12/06/19) stage 3 build week 32 . Aug 5th !!
This is much better than expected , it would appear that production speed in South Africa has been turned up to 11 !!!!

But now I've been told that because of the model changing over to 2020, I won't receive a build date till after August, and that my 20 week wait will start from then, but i'm on a waiting list so I may not get my ...
