Re: Rights when you've bought a brand new car.
I’ve had a few autos now, three of which were DSG, a 2011 scirocco gt, 2015Ibiza cupra 1.4tsi and a 2018 polo gti. I personally find the dsg gearboxes very quirky and it takes time to adapt to them. The gearbox in the polo was definitely the best of the bunch though. If you want a superior auto ...

Re: Top gear drag race
I’ve owned the polo gti and now I have the fiesta st. There really is nothing in it really and being the same bhp you would expect that. I think the fiesta is possibly quicker in gear though, it just feels more urgent. Having said that though both aren’t that fast really. Yoj would have thought ...

Re: Coming from a Golf GTI mk7.5
Sounds like a bad apple off the tree but doesn't necessarily mean the whole tree is rotten. I've also owned what I like to call a "Monday car" (built after a weekend of heaving drinking) and the best thing to do is make it someone elses problem quickly. Problem solved :P
Yep I agree, Who knows ...

Re: Coming from a Golf GTI mk7.5
I had a Golf GTi performance whilst my polo gti was being repaired (which has since been sold) The ride quality and handling of the golf is a lot better than the polos. The golf is very composed whilst the polo is skittish when pushing on. The 7-speed gearbox in the golf was also far superior to ...

Re: Preferred fix for stone chips?
Another vote for chipex, have just used it on mine to repair the scuffed front bumper from the previous owner who obviously didn’t slow down for speed humps

Re: About to buy - introduction
I guess it comes down to what your used to. I came from a 2015 Ibiza Cupra to the polo gti and I find the polo pretty smooth in normal mode, it is a more compliant over bumps and a comfortable car in my opinion. I do find the engine makes alot of weird groaning noises but generally sounds good to my ...
