Re: Set of four 15" BBS RX2's with tyres *Amended*

It's a shame you're so far away for me and i think getting them couriered would be far too expensive otherwise i might have them.

Re: Set of four 15" BBS RX2's with tyres *Amended*

With the polished outers, is that the standard finish you get from a refurb and does it require a bit of looking after i.e. more prone to damage from the weather?

Re: Falling back in love...

Probably about 1hr 30, not ideal tbh as i'd need to leave the car there and getting there/back twice would be a pain. Why what company is based there?

Re: Falling back in love...

Refurb the rims yourself. Then get the centres sandblasted and powder coated. Costs around £25 a wheel for that i think? To be honest i'd prefer not to, i tried with 2 of the wheels a while back and didn't manage to finish them. Just want to get everything done by a professional company who know wh...

Re: Falling back in love...

Just got a quote to have my alloys refurbed for £120 + VAT per wheel  Surely this is expensive?

I can get a set of 4 16" for £139 per wheel!

Re: Smoke from behind the steering wheel

I had this a few years back, still had my warranty and breakdown from VW so a guy came out but found no faults. Never saw it again until last month when i had a little puff of smoke come out, was worried the airbag might go off or something but nothing has happened since.

'apparently' legal too as they are reflective. hmmm just been doing a bit more searching and found this: Number plates must now use one specific, mandatory typeface - a very simple sans serif typeface intended to make the numbers easy to read by both humans and automatic recognition systems, which ...

Falling back in love...update

Having had my Polo for over 3 years now and doing a lot more long distance journeys lately, i had started to look at selling the beast and getting something else. But after looking at what's available for my budget, i really can't find anything that matches what i've got for performance, toys or the...

Cheers for the offer tegwin, actually just moved and live in Bristol now! Out of interested did you just buy a vag-com cable off ebay?

Exhaust emissions light - still ok to drive?

Car has been a bit jumpy lately and driving home last night the exhaust emissions light kept coming on when i put my foot down (but off again when i lifted) and the car felt like it was mis-firing. Just changed the HT leads as thought this was the problem and it seems to have solved it but the exhau...

Yep it's the right one. Done it now, in the end i had to take the bumper off again and make the screw holes for the washer pump bigger so i could move it slightly to the left.
