Polo MK5 subwoofer

Hi all, my sister wants some bass in her Polo mk5 6R, but also wants to maximise her space, considering it's a small car already.
Traditonal boot subwoofer use far too much space. I've tried to find a wheel arch subwoofer, but cant find anything, just so I could evaluate if they would work, unless I ...

Re: Oil change...shall I wait?

I did exactly as you're suggesting last year. Because of the Covid restriction I'd only done a tiny bit over 2K miles in the previous 12 months so I just skipped a year. Fully synthetic is designed not to degrade even with extended service intervals. You'll be fine.

Yours is a MK5. But on here ...

Oil change...shall I wait?

Hi all, this may sound like a repeated question, though I've had a look through cannot find an answer.
But before that, can someone clear up my dumb mind.
On the internet, my car a 2011 1.4 6R1 is classed as a MK5, but in these forums is classified under a MK8/MK9, why so?

Ok, main question. My ...

Re: New engine noise

Yes a bit of tappets noise that dies away a bit with time, as long as your garage used the correct spec of oil it should be okay.

I have never had a car with that engine, but I believe that they can be a bit noisy as they grow older, same as the 1.4 16V 4 cylinder ones in that respect.

I see ...

Re: New engine noise

First of all, really sorry about the delay is getting back. Sister has been really busy and now as the season winds down,
I've had a chance to record the sound.

I borrowed a audio fieldrecorder from a mate and used that to create an mp3, which I have uploaded here:

New engine noise

Hi all, I'm new here. Need some advice please for my sisters car.

Just had it's first service after being the new owners, and I provided all the parts to garage to carry it out.
I followed the service manual and got all the correct parts and spec/grade of oil.

After this service, the engine makes ...
