Just an update. the rear axel and indicators have now been binned due to lack of interest

the coilovers i have kept them as kyle showed an interest.

Thats how low i had it on the coilies and that wasnt even on the lowest setting they probly had abotu 2" left before they were at the bottom of the coils.

but at that height the sump scrpaed on speed bumps.

which have missing parts and seized ?

rears ok ?

from memory the 2 front ones i managed to free up with some WD40

the one rear has the spring seat missing and the other rear the spring seat is frozen.

I will check whats what when im next at mums house

come on guys someone must have a use for these things. i would raterh give them away than put them on a scrap heap.

can some one just take these off my hands. time is getting scarse and there gonna end up on the scarp heap if there not gone in the next 2 weeks.

forget the prices i stated in my last post first person to turn up with any cash can have them i just dont want to scrap them i would rather them goto a good home

Im moving house so need to get rid of some of the parts i have for the polo.

Mk4/5 Rear axel with Drums (needs new bearings and springs for the brakes other than that its in good condition) offers between £30-£80

Mk4 FK AK coilovers, these have been usd for 1 year ...

1 million miles should be possible if kept nicley.

its a little different but i know a guy who had a transit van with 900,000 miles on the clock. that was serviced per the book and never had a replacemement engine or rebuild..

it was starting to die at that point so he sold it.

Oh, now i get it.

I guess I'll change the alternator belt now and do the timing belt, waterpump and camshaft in february, as planned. Since you say it shouldn't be very costly.

Right the stud pattern is 4x100, any other PCD wont fit end of (ok you can fit porche wheels with an adapter plate big faff dont bother. )

the standard polo steels are ET43

my ATS cups on my polo are J7 ET20 with 175/50/15 (they are only 2 brands that make that size Hankook and Khumo.)

Easiest way to do it (i saw my electrician do it like that) is at the C pillar of the car (behind the seat bealts) you have the connections of the pipes in a T, take it off and blow some air into it. If it locks the door its fine, if you feel like the air is getting out somewhere, that's your ...

the door handle just whip it off and see whats broke,

its a T10 bolt on side of the door then the handle slips forwards and pulls out becarefull of the prong that fits into the lock mech.


the central locking sounds like its not the pump as it still works ( it just contiunes running) it sounds ...

have you read the ECU for faults with VAGcom or similar. this would be the first port of call to see why its acting up. if theres no noteable codes then reset the ecu and see what happens then change sensors appropriatly.
