well fired her up last nite.

was a bit like a horror movie as there were wires and pipes everywhere just to see if she would run before dark.

did notice a couple of problems though, slowley being cured and some not !

firstly :-

cluctch was slipping a bit, put you foot down in gear... a lot ...

i have tried a lot but so far no reply.

i live in north cornwall and am in the process of putting in a 3F GT engine into my coupe s.

it is in the garage now and everything was going fine untill it came to the fuel system.

i need a fellow polo owner more than ever to bring their polo so me ...

well the only thing is we dont no where to wiring to the fuel tank and pump come from n the engine bay?

we have tried to trace wires which we "think" are fuel pump wires but had no luck.

when we installed the new loom, we only did the ECU loom as the lightinf loom was fine. (by this i mean the ...

right then, my car went into a vw garage on friday to have its 3F GT lump put in.

My mate and i were helping and doing most of it under his instructions ( that way i get it done for free)

engine went in fine and all seemed well until it cam to wiring.

he has given me a list of things to ask ...

my mate was in a mk2 polo. was driving along a road which had cars parked on roadside and pavement. They where on his side on the road and a car was coming towards him, so he pulled into a gap to left the car go by, which it did.....then he was jsut about to pull ...

from where i live in cornwall to my mates uni in norwich is exactly 400 miles bang on........


i filled up my tank...40.86 ltrs, its a 9 gallon one it may have been slightly more than that coz i did really fill it to the brim anyway, so 400/9 = 44.4 mpg

its a G reg coupe s it had ...

i have a completly standard coupe s ( 55 b.h.p)

and my mate has a 1.6 golf mk3 CL with a back box..

we wer pissing around...and he was coming down my friends drive infront of me going about 0.5 m.p.h to try and p*** me off lol so when we got to the main road.....i floored it and overtook and even ...

its sounds simple but i heard a rattle when ticking over and it gradually got louder as time progressed!!


and annoyed me a lot.....so i set to work hunting the cause and it was sumin so small!!

the collor that connects the downpipe to the manifold was loose...and as i racked the miles ignoring ...

the help would be great.....if the chap can wait a few days i will go and get the engine on thurs..

i recon i could convince him to hang onto it if i put a deposit down!!
