Re: 2011 6R 1.2 TDI - noisy gearbox

Then you need to unconnect the harness from the black plastic part and from the defroster line tab
But the connector can grip the strip pretty hard on the flat defroster wire. use a screwdriver to ...

Re: How do I get the ignition key lock off?

you pull the part that is in the instrument cluster towards your self. Its just clipped in.

Then you will see torx bolts near the slip ring viewed from top ( birds eye persoective), and on the bottom trim underside there is an torx bolt

Re: Polo 6C: wire harness damaged (boot)

yes, disassemble trim pieces. You dont need to fully remove it. unbolt it+ Unclip so it can tilt and give you access.
And yes use electricians wire and tape it to the harness, but again guide the harness with your hand near the window defrosters. there are internal metal pieces and the connectors ...

Re: Polo 6C: wire harness damaged (boot)

If you decide to swap the harness, be careful when pulling it out. Guide the connectors with your hand when you start pulling, because they can get stuck, and then it's a pain to get it to move.
Like this happened to me on the second occasion...

you will need to run few wires to your instrument cluster,
