Hidden menu on headunit
Hi, I came across a video on a media unit from a golf that had a hidden menu when you hold the setup button, on my composition colour there isnt much, and if you keep holding it there is a futher hidden menu, but mine didnt have that...until now. So Carista the OBD app had a update that allows the s...

Re: Polo Newbie - Help Needed Apple CarPlay
Hi, As far as i know they can activate it, obviously at a cost, im sure its the composition media. If possible you can try go to a different VW garage and ask them and see what they say, there is another user selling there RCD 330 unit with car play for the 6c, will probably be cheaper to buy that u...

Re: Coding and Customisation
I use Carista a lot aswell, great app if you dont have access to VCDS, never had issues with the app, if you have a Iphone id get the carista OBD, i have one and it works great, however i have the ELM327 as well and have no issues using it, works the same as carista's OBD but it just doesnt have WIF...

Re: How can I improve the sound of a 6C GTI?
the biggest restictor of air will be that cat, get a proper sports cat, if you jut remove it it will be to loud and you will get a CEL. I have had the backbox replaced with another res, no drone at all and DSG farts are present. I would stay resonated, but do look at a sport cat. Goodluck with the b...

Re: How can I improve the sound of a 6C GTI?
That's true, a opened cone system will be Abit louder, but the Raceline cone system should still be loud enough, it will be better because it's a cold air intake so should also help with some airflow. True, better to just get a proper name brand catback system from the begining. However I have a muf...

Re: How can I improve the sound of a 6C GTI?
Hi again, As far as I know only the sport pack has the actuator. If you want, start at a res delete and see how it goes, but the biggest impact on the DSG farts will be playing with the backbox/muffler, that will give you a better sound because changing the res won't do to much as the muffler will s...

Re: Leaking from underneath
Thanks, guess that would make sense then,
I will have a look tomorrow and see if I can get a better look, going to see if I can get a cloth in between the metal opening and see if there is maybe a puddle of liquid hiding from me, maybe it is a spill but I doubt it.

Re: Leaking from underneath
Only the right rear seat is covered in this liquid, but I have taken the cloth out and cleaned the sponge but it looks like the leak is still there, it is really here in Portugal, any liquid would for sure dry up, and I have driven without the rear seats for a few times so plenty time to dry up, so ...

Re: Leaking from underneath
No smell, I thought it was a spill but I cleaned everything and came back, I will have a look, it seems to come from the side of the fuel tank but I will have a look again.

Re: Polo newbie - please help
You are right Dink, same as the 1.4 TSI, just different oil etc, With the exhaust now that I think about it, there was only drone when I had both the res and the muffler deleted, as just the res didn't do any justice on the DSG farts, I guess a sports cat, res delete and maybe a miltek back box woul...

Re: Polo newbie - please help
I researched a lot before chosing my DSG, i completely ignored the 1.4 TSI GTIs because of its chain and DSG issues, with AUS, the issue was on post 2014 DSG boxes, they had to change the oil or something, that's why I'm saying to get one after 2015 at leaste. The polo has the DQ200 because it's che...

Leaking from underneath
Hi, I noticed a liquid under my rear seats a few months ago, ignored it, but decided to get to the bottom of it, it feels like a grease or oil , very "slippery", i think its from under the car, it seems to be coming from underneath, cleaned underneath the seats and put some masking tape to...

Re: Polo newbie - please help
I have friends with polo gtis, i know 1 that has the 1.4 gti with dsg and one with 1.8 tsi gti with dsg, both have revo remaps, and almost every Wednesday they drag race their cars, post covid, not one has had any faults, however i have 110k km on my 1.2 tsi car and did have dsg issues, all the odd ...
