If I'm honest I'm not entirely happy with the job but I just cut holes into the door cards and screwed them onto that. Providing your speakers aren't huge you can position them just about so they don't foul on the windows when you wind them down.

If i Know my polos, a constant ticking will usually be your tappets not adjusting properly, on an L reg they should be hydraulic (self adjusting) but if there isn't enough oil, or the oil is s**t, or even too thick I have found they will not adjust right so they tick.

If oil doesn't help, tappets ...

You should be ok if you just practice spaying on an area that doesn't show up. I was new to spraying until yesterday and as long as you take your time and lay on very thin without going over the same bit too much.

Try starting off just spraying individual lines one after another like so ...

I changed the passenger side bearing a few weeks ago on the front, I was led to believe I would need to go to a workshop with a press but we got away with putting a bit of grease on it and squeezing it with a vice (not a bear vice put cloth or something over it).

If it was done in a garage you might find it's not the clutch and you just have a new problem.

not a daft question, but why buy standard parts when there are better aftermarket alternatives.

I might wrong as i'm still new to this, i'm still just getting my feet wet, but i'm figuring if I change to uprated shocks it will improve damping, and handling.

I think you missunderstand, I would like to replace the shocks but leave the original springs in place as I do not want to lower this car.

All I want to know is:

Are G-max the only company that does non adjustable Shock absorbers that will fit on the car with Original manufacture Springs ...

I'm not too great at this game yet but might I suggest taking a look at your actual engine mounts, if you find that they are worn and cracked (much like your old exhaust mounts) then no amount of fiddling will help you out as the whole exhaust will move about with the engine movement.

I just put my manifold on at the weekend, it proved fairly trouble free, I did have to drop the anti roll bar a bit and take the rad fan off to slide in the manifold but apart from that it all went well.

I've got to get a bit of flexi as yet to finish putting it together, the only option i've found ...

Yeah I thought I might run ito problems with the flexi, what did you use to make a new one?
