Re: More tyre pressure monitor problems

Yeah that was my guess too, that it might be a combination of difference in tread depth, high pressure and hot temperatures that is causing it. Still the system shouldn't be triggering if the tyres are at the correct pressure even if it is a bit hot.

Frustrating you can't adjust the sensitivity ...

More tyre pressure monitor problems

Back in 2020 I bought a 2018 polo and had all sorts of problems with the tyre pressure warning light coming on all the time despite all the pressure being fine.

I posted about it here: https://uk-polos.net/viewtopic.php?t=75252

I took it into VW several times and they blamed it on the difference ...

Re: Tyre pressure monitor driving me mad

So VW couldn't find anything wrong, no errors had been logged. They pumped the tyres again and did a hard reset of the tyre monitoring system. The only other thing they mentioned is one of front tyres has just been replaced so each front tyre does have a different tread depth. They thought this ...

Yeah I thought it might be a problem with the ABS, but I don't have an ABS warning light?

Could it be a wheelspeed sensor that the ABS uses?

Tyre pressure monitor driving me mad

I just bought an approved used 2018 UK Polo last week.

On the way home, the tyre pressure warning light came on complaining about the front right tyre pressure having dropped. I pulled into a petrol station and checked all the pressures and noticed the front right was 2psi higher than the other ...
