I can’t find anything to say that it’s ever been done.
I’ve had the car 2 years now so just going to get it done.
Rather be safe than sorry

Where would I find the engine code please?

And it’s diesel so guessing it’s a belt then. Looks like I’m forking out to get it changed then

My car is a 2012 1.2 blue motion and I am struggling to see if it has a timing belt or chain.

Can anyone help please?

Turns out it was one of the shoes on the back. It was badly worn down so I had to have both replaced

I think it sounds like it’s coming from the front, possibly one of the wheels. It’s progressively got worse over the last week

My Polos recently started making a high pitched noise when driving.
The noise only starts once the car is hot and when I apply the brakes it stops.
Blue motion 2012 and it’s done about 80000 miles.

Recently been MOT’d and service.
Pads, discs and front tyres were replaced last year.

Any ideas ...

I would clean the egr return pipe. The one that goes into anti sthuder valve. Cheap and easy and gets gunked.


Is this something I can do myself? Although I am a woman I can do some bits on cars 🤣


If you have a torx T30, and a bit of umf to uscrew 4 bolts you can. And also oven cleaner ...

It’s in for MOT next week and I’m able to turn the EML off and it stays off for a couple of days so hopefully it’ll pass

Mine stopped working yesterday and I replaced the fuse and it worked.
My polo is 2012 1.2 and it was fuse 17 for me, 7.5 fuse
