Hey guys, gearbox is knackered on my 6n2 mark 5 polo 1.4. I want to part exchange it for a reburbished box. Does anyknow know of any good companys offering this service for as cheap as possible preferably with a warranty.

Right got gearbox from breakers yard, off a 6n2 write off, only done 25000 miles. cost me £150, coming tomorrow and then getting fitted mid week, so hasnt turned out as expensive as i thought. Just hope it turns out all good.

Exchange box sounds a good idea, I will look into that tomorrow. Any rough ideas of costs?

Also anymore ideas of where i can get a gearbox from? non VW universal box maybe?

My general plan is going to be to get my hands on another gearbox and then have it fitted elsewhere.
