Hello all !
Hope you are doing well.
Yesterday, as exepected, I replaced with success the main and auxilary radiators of my Polo.
Coolant refill was dead easy with the vacuum tool and and so far so good, no leaks.
However, my car still suffer from an issue. I do not know much about her past ...

Re: Polo 6C EA21: Coolant radiator leaking
So after few days without any leaks, no a single drops: it's back.
After a short drive (10min) and and the car stop and parker for 10 min, I just saw (as before) a beautiful puddle of G12Evo.
Maybe 15cm by 15cm.
From the front (trough the bumper) the intercooler radiaotor is super dry, so the leak ...

Re: Polo 6C EA21: Coolant radiator leaking
You may need to use a contrast UV fluorescent additive/liquid/tracer and a UV flashlight to accurately locate the leak point.
I will try your advice.
Funny things, I drived for fun out in the countryside on winding roads, revving the engine hard (1h).
It's been 30 min and still, no leaks, or ...

Re: Polo 6C EA21: Coolant radiator leaking
A small, persistent leak is visible due to residue left after drying. It doesn't seem serious.
Once located, it should be thoroughly cleaned to determine the exact source of the leak.
Hopefully, it might be coming from that large pipe.
I will not be that confident.
During the last oil change ...

Polo 6C EA21: Coolant radiator leaking
Hello all,
A few weeks ago, I took advantage of the good weather to give the engine bay a good clean – it had really built up
all the grime from the winter.
A good clean never does any harm, and it’s always nicer to work on a clean engine.
That’s when I noticed that my coolant level had dropped ...

As ciclo said, they may have a breakin time ?
Do you remember about the stifeness when you installed them ?

Re: Lowered or not lowered: this is the question
On my 6R R-line, I finally installed the original 1JS springs on the rear axle, but the shock absorbers are the factory ones, which are standard suspension because I didn't choose the R-line suspension package for the rear. From the factory, only the front shock absorbers were sport suspension (R ...

Re: Lowered or not lowered: this is the question
So, after few months, my rear axle is done...or maybe not.
Few months ago, I installed the rear spring.
Yesterday, I completed the setup with the shock absorber.

Re: Engine hesitation after service and cam belt change.
So almost 4 after my OP, I have an update on the misfire which developed suddenly after having my Polo serviced at a main dealer.
I read in a couple of places about mid range misfires which could occur when using NGK spark plugs, one involving a 2 stroke race bike and another with a VW Polo ...

So according to the manual, I just have to pull.
But how to remove the connector from the black support behind ?

Re: How do I get the ignition key lock off?
Hi
I have the VW broken ignition lock problem with the stuck key.
I am trying to remove the plastic coverings between the steering wheel and the instrument cluster.
The top half is flapping around, but held in place by the instrument cluster.
I can't figure out how to release the bottom half. I ...

Re: Polo 6C: wire harness damaged (boot)
yes, disassemble trim pieces. You dont need to fully remove it. unbolt it+ Unclip so it can tilt and give you access.
And yes use electricians wire and tape it to the harness, but again guide the harness with your hand near the window defrosters. there are internal metal pieces and the connectors ...

Re: Polo 6C: wire harness damaged (boot)
Ah, now I feel reassured
I didn't want to dissassemble the car again (all the trim panel) as they tend to break with time and they are stupid expensive (80 euros for the C pillar for exemple).
So for the trim, did you fully removed it or just put it aside (in order to fully removed it, you ...

Re: Polo 6C: wire harness damaged (boot)
Yes, the curve at the bottom (in the image) might be the trickiest part, be patient , go back and forth little by little. Easy for you! 👍
Yeah sure, patience is key.
But, I have a question, how are connected the rear windows heater (they is two black solid wire on each side) ?
Only the side ...
