Strange coincidence, but the car is being stored because it's owner (son #1) has just moved to the Netherlands for work from Australia!

Putting our red GTi into storage for a while and noticed the plastic cover for the instrument cluster has these marks on it. I tried headlight sealant spray (no difference) and then buffing the plastic with a Dremel - no improvement. I'm assuming it was caused by some solvent we used for revitalizin...

Hello - the centre rear seat belt has stopped recoiling. I've fed an inspection camera in and it isn't just a twisted belt.
The VW manual lacks any detail on how to pull the rear seat back apart. Anyone have ideas?

Best for a one-off diagnosis is probably a garage with a universal scan tool. Sorry - was waiting for a break in the rain. The sender can face forward or backwards, and clips into an oval hole beside the horn. From the front, you can only mount it backwards. If you have the airdam off (and bumper too), you can access the nook to aim it forwards. Dunno which is better. Polo Te...

I'm looking for the matching upholstery fabric for our 9N3 Gti.
It turns out there are 7 variations of the "Wolfsburg" Plaid - we are chasing the pattern known as "Interlagos Plaid"or "Mk5 Plaid".

Any help would be appreciated.

That's the same door handle so I'll give it a go.

Trying to fix the demented passenger (RHD) window electrics.

The service manual shows removing the trim like so - but our GTi doesn't have any recesses in the reverse side of the handle.

Any suggestions what I'm missing?
