Re: Gti grill
That's what I thought although the company says it won't??? They sent me a link for one for a GTD which they say will fit. Looks exactly the same shape to me? Confused. Might just order the GTI one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266250047590?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=n92...

R line front bumper different from standard?
My son has had a minor bump into the back of another car. Minor damage to bumper, grill and 1 headlight. Easily fixable, probably more cheaply than his £800 insurance excess will cost. I see multiple second hand bumpers and even some new aftermarket bumpers already painted. Just querying is there mu...

Is your lease company aware of the modifications you are making to their car?

Re: Key Batt Message
Just replaced 4 batteries in 2 sets of VW keys, Polo & Tiguan, as the Tiguan was giving a low battery warning. Used Panasonic batteries. No problem since.

Re: Prevent low beam from turning on as drl
Thanks guys, in the end I just bent the pin so that it no longer goes into the connector. DRL headlights off, the bulbs will perhaps last longer now.

Anyone got an image of the switch showing pin to remove?
Do the pins easily pull out?

Re: Control-arm bushing
+1 ...although I also think it's worth installing the completely new control arms. I considered new arms but the front bush is fine on both of them, as is the ball joint. The arms aren't rusty or in need of physical replacement. The 2 Febi bushes were only £13. New arms would be £80+. I think this ...

Thanks. Images added.
Didn't actually drive it after I finished but its gonna be a big improvement given the state of the old ones.

Re: Control-arm bushing
Did these bushes today. Used the solid Audi TT type. Old ones were in bad state, especially drivers side on which the rubber was almost totally detached from the metal ring. With the arm out of the car I was able to remove the rubber by hand!. Didn't have a bush removal or fitting tool but m...

Changed one at 80000 miles on a 2014 polo for peace of mind. Think it still had the factory fitted filter in there.
