It’s more about the tread in the block than the actual stud it’s self I believe as this can become streched when the tensioner is torqued up each time
for example, lets say that the tensioner bolt is torqued at 20 nm. someone torques it 5-10 times at 18-20 nm, this will for sure cause thread ...

I'm sure that this has been discussed in the past either here or the Skoda or SEAT motoring forums, so I'd think that it is normal and probably due to either sharing components with other engines or a design error/limitation, I certainly noticed that on my wife's previous car a 2002 BBY engined ...

yes, brand new studs .Did you replace studs? It seems something is out of line, cross threaded/bent? I'd back track and refit.

i am beginning to think that it could be the belts. why would the smaller belt track to the left ? both belts are tracking to the the left . all components used are dayco.
