The new wipers come with a variety of holders and one of those will fit the polo. You’ll figure it out when you see the part and take off the current wiper.

This is very common with Volkswagen wipers, mine used to do it and a courtesy car I had did it too a 21 reg Golf. I found out it to be the wiper blade material off the OEM Bosch Aerotwins was too stiff on the screen which caused juddering. I purchased Valeo Silencio and this fixed the issue ...
