I think they got a few GTs in and pre-registered them to meet their sales targets!

Used value of GT

I'm looking into replacing the Polo GT I have with a BMW 530d. The car has been fantastic and I have had no problems at all with it but I fancy something a bit bigger. It is a 55 plate with 20000 miles on the clock, just had its first service and I'm about to put on a new set of front tyres ...

There aren't any VW specialists near me. The garage have a monopoly on the VW market for miles, the next nearest VW garage is about a 70 mile round trip!

Servicing Costs

Just been relieved of £213 for the first long life service on my Polo GT. I can't believe the price, its a 1.9 diesel engine, not exactly a rare and tricky piece of engineering!

How much have you paid for servicing? I'll be trying my nearest Seat dealer next I think!

Tyres on GT TDI

My front tyres are about done on my car after 19k miles. Has anyone changed from the standard Continentals? I'm considering getting Goodyear F1 Eagles but at around £200 for them fitted they seem a bit expensive! Has anyone got good or bad reports on their tyres?

new wheel

I had a wee incident this morning going to work, a dog appeared from a field while I was doing 60mph, I swerved to avoid it and cracked my nearside front wheel off the kerb. Burst sidewall and severely humped alloy wheel!!! Any ideas of a cheap place to buy just one alloy wheel?

I'm about the same as said before in my GT TDI. The best I have managed is 460 miles, that was on a week of pretty moderate speeds doing normal driving then a few runs of about 120 miles at a time. My best mpg for a journey is 57 mpg but that was really nursing it

the T1-R was better in the dry, the grip was awesome but they were really slippy in the wet. I seem to remeber a story of some BTCC team who ran Toyo's used T1-Rs in the dry but T1-Ss in the wet
