Hey you all! My little Blue-GT-swapped Polo recently survived a small 2500 km road trip through the southern parts of Germany. A nice opportunity to take some pretty pictures. Please ignore the absolute humongous amount of dirt on it! :D

Automatic headlight range control now working!
I am happy to announce that my headlight range control is now working flawlessly.
As a recap: some time ago I swapped my H4 headlights for OEM 6C LED headlights. For the automatic range control I used the control module 6R0907357 like in a xenon Polo ...

Re: Pauls Polo 6R Trendline conversion road to OEM++
Good luck with loading the proper parameters (Tiny-Q) for the ALWR unit, the headlights do a down/up check every time you turn on the ignition (+15).
I really hope it works... it has bothered me way too long now.
But how does the check work actually? Because on my car, the check only happens ...

Re: Pauls Polo 6R Trendline conversion road to OEM++
Okay, now back to the good old problems. First: the engine.
Problem #1: Fault code P164C00
I still get the P164C00 fault from time to time. It reports a Implausible Signal from the Oil Pressure Switch for reduced Oil Pressure. And I still don't really get why. The only consistency I noticed is the ...

Alrighty, back again. :D
A little update about the state of my car. First of all: I finally got my bumper covers back from painting. Now I ask myself why the frick I didn't convert to R Line sooner.

Re: Pauls Polo 6R Trendline conversion road to OEM++
Is the control module you use a 6R0907357 or is it a 6R0907357C?
I have the one without the index. Is it possible to flash the parameter file TinyQ developed for the ...C variant onto the non-indexed variant? I would probably rent or even buy a VCP for that undertaking

Re: Pauls Polo 6R Trendline conversion road to OEM++
Might very well be the case. Is there a way to change it with VCDS? And if yes, what do I change it to?

Re: Pauls Polo 6R Trendline conversion road to OEM++
Hi! Here's a little update from my car...
First of all: I finally got my MOT scheduled for thursday, so it's getting real. I got the start-stop-button working and my instrument cluster is now showing when my engine goes into the 2-cylinder-mode.
Thus, there are two problems remaining, that I hope ...

Re: Pauls Polo 6R Trendline conversion road to OEM++
Concerning the start-stop-button I still haven't found the solution. Start-Stop itself is working on the other hand, so I might just procrastinate on that problem a little bit. For the technical inspection it just has to work at all.
Wrong. I couldn't leave it alone. And it turns out I'm an ...

Re: Pauls Polo 6R Trendline conversion road to OEM++
A few days later, and nothing changed. Well, that's not completely true. I fixed a knocking in the steering assembly (it turned out we forgot to tighten the nuts of the tie rod ends... whoops  ), also I installed the underbody covers and fiddled a bit with the exhaust, so that it doesn't touch ...

Re: Pauls Polo 6R Trendline conversion road to OEM++
Well, looks very much like a waste of time it was...
Since I fiddled around with the ABS coding a little bit, start-stop miraculously started working. Funny enough however: My deactivation button does not work. As pointed out in one of my previous posts, the wiring diagram is just wrong concerning ...

Re: Pauls Polo 6R Trendline conversion road to OEM++
You are absolutely right, thanks for reminding me!
Now one of the only remaining things to rectify before I can bring my car to its technical inspection is to get the start-stop system working.
As of now, everytime I start the car, the instrument cluster tells me "Fault: Start-Stop". The ...

Re: Pauls Polo 6R Trendline conversion road to OEM++
Also, there are some faults I cannot make sense of, so I hope you all can:
1. When the engine is running (and only then) I have the following fault codes (please excuse my use of OBD11, my VCDS-laptop is broken-ish):
P11AB00 - Cam Shift Actuator "B" Cylinder 3 Circuit/Open
static
P11A700 - Cam ...

Re: Pauls Polo 6R Trendline conversion road to OEM++
Thanks! That has got to be it!
Sadly, there are no labels in VCDS for the adaption channels, so I just guessed and changed the following:
Ch 1: 0 -> 1
Ch 2: 0 -> 1 (I installed one of these coombined rain and moisture sensors ages ago together with my high beam assist conversion)
Ch 3: 1 -> 0
Ch 4 ...

Update number 29401ß0348?
