Re: Dreaded ABS light!
I don't know whether this will help, but I've had my ABS light come on before. Took the car to the VW garage, told me both rear sensors needed replacing. I then had a look at the connector under the back seat, and because one of the kids had been bouncing on the seat, the connector had become loose....

Oh no!
Tom, Just seen this - it's a bit of a shock, but then again, a Polo is not forever. There was someone on the TA board wanting to buy a car with a full install - perhaps post it up there also? I'm currently thinking of changing mine, but can't find another car I like better. Oh, and I got a new 12&qu...

Speakers
They look nice! How are you going to mount the tweeters? The mids will be a tight fit (ooh errr) - I just managed to fit a set of the Dyn MW160 drivers with a little filing of the basket. They will certainly give you a decent amount of bass up front. Best of luck, and let us know how you get on. Chr...

Rear seat
I had the same thing with the BS light going on when the kids were in the back. Pull the back seat forward, and you'll find two connectors in possibly the most stupid place they could be located. I disconnected both plugs and reconnected them - and the ABS light problem went away. I had previously g...

Speakers
Hi, As you're going for a speaker upgrade, are you considering upgrading the rest of the system also? If not, make sure the speakers you choose can run from the standard HU - a lot of aftermarket speakers require more power than is produced from the standard internal amplifier. You may need to eithe...

More information
I would recommend a local ICE shop if you have one. I go to www.mf2k.com, and as previously mentioned, SQ+ is also very good. Have a look at the forums on www.talkaudio.com - loads of good help there. Some car audio companies do deals on same manufacturer component packages, and those can be very go...

Another Cascada fan
That Cascada album hasn't left my car since I got it about six weeks ago.
It is remarkably good.
I also find Pink Floyd/MJ/Madonna are good for SQ showing-off, and Prodigy, Motorhead and AC/DC for general listening.
Although Pavarotti also makes an appearence from time-to-time
Chris.

Impressive
Tom, Looks extremely impressive. SQPlus do get a good name, and although many people may not understand it, a professional installer's fees are well worth it! I certainly didn't mind forking out for my installation, as I certainly don't have either the time or the talent to do a job worthy of the co...

Nice kit
Not been here in a while - my bad! You going sealed or ported with that baby? Those amps look lovely with the plexiglass - I hope you're going to show off that sexy circutry! The "Rear fill"/6X9 debate is pretty heated over at TA - I have to agree that the simple combination of front compo...

Speaker size
I have Dynaudio MW160s in the stock locations. They are 17.5cm according to the website, but a very tight fit. I had to file a bit off the metal basket to get it to fit inside, as there is an annoying metal bar in the way! http://www.dynaudiousa.com/products/car/driver.htm You should be OK with 17cm...

HU for Ipod
Hi, I saw there is a mini-site on the Alpine website relating to their Ipod offering:http://www.alpine-europe.com/content/english/ The HU is the 9850, and it costs about £170. (http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=4679) It only has one pre-out however. Instead, you could alw...

Space in doors
Marc, I've managed to fit a Dynaudio MW160 in the stock mid position in the door. Dimensions: http://www.dynaudiousa.com/products/car/drivers/160.htm Also, I have the crossovers in the doors - yours will have plenty of space. I'd be interested in how that will sound - I have tweets in the standard s...

Another place for information
Hi, I don't know the models you've asked about, but if you post on the talkaudio boards, there are a load of really knowledgeable people over there who will be able to help. Or give Ron at MF2K a shout. Be warned though, the route of car ICE perfection is a long and expensive one.... Best of luck! C...
