1.9 TDI MAF

Does anyone know how much a MAF for a 1.9 TDI sport 100bhp costs?

My wifes car has developed a fault and when you disconnect the MAF it works better but not at full power so I asume it could only be the MAF that is at fault.

There is this one on ebay which looks like the correct one.

Thanks for the reply.

Can you tell me exactly where to find the the vacuum pipe to the actuator and I will give this a go?

I am not used to working on these new cars. I have had Golf MK2's and old Audi's for most of my life.

I have got one of my mates to run off the fault codes on the Polo and this is what it came up with...

17964 - Charge pressure control negative deviation P1556-35-10 - Intermittent
17552 - Mass Air Flow Sensor (g70) open to short to ground P1144-35-00

We then checked Autodata and it came up with ...

Electric Windows

My wifes Polo 1.9 tdi sport was not running right. I disconnected the battery to reset the ecu and now the windows which used to go up and down with one touch now have to be put up with my finger holding the buttons.

Is there a way of getting the one touch windows back?

Poor Running 1.9 tdi

I have just been on holiday for a few weeks in Devon.

On my journey back I was driving my wifes 51 reg Polo 1.9 tdi sport and it started to lose power. I was sitting at 80 mph and when I approached a small hill the car lost power and I was having to drive it foot to the floor to get it up the hill ...

Gear Gator

The gear gator on my wife's 1.9 tdi has worn away in a few places and I was wondering if there was a replacement in leather.

If not how much would another one cost?

1.9 tdi Heater

My wife and I recently purchased a 51 reg Polo 2 door 1.9 tdi sport and find the car absolutely amazing. It has surprised me a few times with the amount of fuel it doesn't use.

The only problem we have found with the car is getting the temperature within the car at the right temperature. The car ...

I have just got my mate to run VAG com on the Polo but it came back with no faults at all.

I will try and clean the throttle bodies as mentioned in this thread but if this doesn't help then I am not sure what will.

The only other thing we can think of is that the revs always seem really high in ...

I will give the ECU resetting a go.

Is the removal of the battery wires the best way to rest the ECU as on my Audi I pull a fuse from the fuse box?

Hopefully this corrects things. If not one of my mates has VAGCom which should come up with a fault if there is one.

Poor Consumption on 16v

Thanks for letting me know the mpg you are supposed to get in the 16v Polo and thanks for the mpg calculator will come in handy.

Does anyone have any tips as to improve the fuel economy as it sounds like there must be something wrong with the car?

Also I own an Audi S2 Coupe which has a turbo and ...

Poor Fuel Consumption on Polo 16v

This is the first time I have posted on this forum so I am unsure wether this has been mentioned on any other threads.

My wife has a really nice 3 door Dragon Green Polo 16v on an R reg. The little car is excellent in every way and my wife loves it. The only thing is that she is thinking of selling ...
