That sounds a bit annoying if a garage workshop took that task on, but seems to have not had all the necessary equipment to do it correctly first time - when I plan to get the belt replaced on my wife's August 2015 Polo 1.2TSI 110PS, I'll use a proper VW Group Independent workshop.

Hi! I’ve had a Cambelt changed in October on my 2017 polo 1.2 tsi and since then the car has been juddering at speeds below 30mph.
