Window motor compatibility
I'm needing to replace the n/s front window motor on my 2011 6R '60S' 4 door Polo. The existing faulty motor bears the part number: 6R0959801AD (which VAG confirm has currently been superseded to: 6R0959801DK) I wondered if anyone definitively knew if when sourcing a replacement motor is it OK to ig...

Re: Prevent low beam from turning on as drl
Anyone got an image of the switch showing pin to remove? Do the pins easily pull out? Here ya go... though as you can see I didn't apply the suggested finesse approach of removing the terminal. Instead I simply cut the wire and insulated both ends using heatshrink. (excuses, excuses... I didn...

Re: Polo 6R Boot 'false' Floor Panel
No longer required, as I managed to locate all that I needed from a very helpful online breakers. For those in a similar position, having the base S model with no 'false floor' it might be worth noting that (at least on my 2011 example) there were threads present in the existing metalwork to accept ...

Re: Retrofitting a coolant temperature gauge: 6R 1.2 12v CGP
what about tapping into the signal from the sensor that car already has. Thanks for the suggestion amer6R :) sounds like an idea. Would you happen to know if the circuit is 5v or 12v ...or? I had assumed (maybe wrongly?) it to be 5v and a mismatch with my gauge and hence not suitable. If I have tim...

Retrofitting a coolant temperature gauge: 6R 1.2 12v CGP
Has anyone yet retrofitted a simple coolant temperature gauge to their 1.2 Polo?? I'm in the enviable  position of using a base '60 S' 6R running the 1.2 12v (CGP) engine. OK with it's 60bhp I'm not first away from the lights, but its economical and keeps the miles and salt off the *other* car...
