My 12v socket has a dodgy connection. Probably a loose wire or bent connector that I can fix myself. Did you have any luck with removing the socket with or without specialised tools? I had a similar issue. Using basic tools, I removed the socket, found a loose wire, and fixed it easily. Magic 8 ball

what happens is, reverse light will receive 12V. if engine starts, battery voltage is 13-14V. BCM will control reverse light voltage from 14 to 12V. This is with a PWM process. The camera's power supply will turn into PWM and camera's don't like that. Solution is to change dimming value for reverse...
