Only had it a few weeks with these on before I had to punt it. :( It had never looked better.

...or you could get a set of Rondell 058 for about £320. When i put them on mine they looked so much better. They keep the standard look but are a bit wider so the car seemed to sit better. Sold my originals for a decent price as well.

Here's a link to a couple of pics

Wouldn't worry about the notchy gear change - mine was the same - you just get used to it. Congrats on your new car. I've seen some of your posts and it seems like you patience has paid off. I sold mine a couple of months ago but it's still my sceensaver. :(

Not sure you should try this yourself tho mate. Can't think where I got this from but I'm pretty sure that a fairly heavy electricity current runs through those bulbs, so it's best done by an expert.

My Polo has gone now :( , but I was planning to put eagle F1's on it. I have just put 4 eagle f1's on our other car and they have transformed the grip - they might not last as long as others because I think are a slightly softer compound, but the grip could save your life so just go get em!

yeah, he told me that it's not a case of if the gearbox goes, but when. Sods law tells me that if I sell it, it will run for 50k trouble free, but if I keep it it would go in a month. I don't want the gearbox to go with the mrs, junior, and baby junior all in tow, so i'd rather get something that is ...

Rondells have gone with the car unfortunately - seems a waste but i posted the bbs to the buyer about 2 weeks ago.

Matt - it turned out that the gearbox was fine - it was a replacement drive shaft - but I couldn't get the mechanics advice out of my head, and in the end what I need now is a ...

You'll be joining TSN's 50+mpg club now then

No sure if a ford owner would be welcome on there - it's a goodsite but they can get a bit snooty, and no sarcasm taken :D . Focus is a good car and does what we need it to do on the cheap so its a good decision. I drive the saab most of the time so it ...

That's me back and about to be the owner of a 6 month old focus zetec 1.6tdci. It's actually very impressive - it's got some poke, sports suspension and seats, alloys, air con and a heated front screen and washer jets. It feels solid, handles well, and best of all has 2 1/2 years warranty left. It ...

Time to move on

So after a long weekend of discussion we've decided to change the polo for something sensible and diesel. We need more room for impending junior and want to get something new with plenty of warranty. Likely to be an astra or focus as you seem to get a lot for your money, and the new designs are much ...

Drive shaft, plus rear discs and pads was £300 - think drive shaft was about 150. A relief either way!
